Tonye Krukrubo


An experienced litigator, Tonye appreciates every opportunity to apply creative thinking to his clients’ problems with a view to proffering the best solution.


Tonye is a Partner in the Firm and heads the Firm’s Port Harcourt office. He is an experienced litigator/Arbitrator and a member of the Firm’s dispute resolution team.

He handles complex instructions from diverse clientele and advises on commercial transactions, banking, regulatory compliance, Trade, employment law, oil and gas, environment, energy and natural resources, and other aspects of law practice. He holds an LLM degree with a focus on International Business Law from the University of Liverpool.

Tonye speaks regularly at national and international conference/seminars. He has a keen interest in the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA) and its dispute settlement process in respect of which he regularly shares his insights.

Tonye has been recommended by The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East and Africa for his litigation experience. He has also been recommended by Who’s Who Legal 500 as a lawyer with “great interpersonal skills” and “excellent expertise in the field” of Labour and Employment.
