Aluko & Oyebode (the “Firm”) is pleased to have advised Access Bank Plc (“Access Bank”) on the divestment of its entire equity stake in Access Pension Custodian Limited to First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Limited (the “Transaction”).
The Transaction which received relevant regulatory approvals marked the divestment of Access Bank’s interest in Nigeria’s Pension Custody business and the return of its operating license as a Pension Custodian to the National Pension Commission. The Transaction provided Access Holdings Plc, the holding company of Access Bank, with a springboard to explore and execute its strategy for the Pension Funds Administration industry.
