Aluko & Oyebode is pleased to have advised Honoris United Universities, a pan-African education group backed by global investment firm Actis, in its acquisition of the entire shareholding of Nile University of Nigeria. The acquisition of Nile University of Nigeria marks the debut entry of the pan-African education group into West Africa. The transaction was concluded following the approval of the National Universities Commission and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
With the conclusion of the transaction, Honoris intends to enhance and expand the reputation of the University and significantly increase its student population to 10,000 students.
