Aluko & Oyebode advised MTN Group Limited in connection with the Listing by Introduction of its Nigerian subsidiary, MTN Nigeria Communications Plc (“MTN Nigeria”) of its entire ordinary shares on The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The listing, which is the largest listing by introduction on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, resulted in MTN Nigeria having a market capitalisation of more than US$5 Billion, and being the second largest capitalized company on The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The listing also resulted in MTN Nigeria being listed on the Premium Board of The Nigerian Stock Exchange. MTN Nigeria is the first telecommunications network provider to be listed on the Premium Board of The Nigerian Stock Exchange, a listing segment for the elite group of issuers that meet the Exchange’s most stringent corporate governance and listing standards.
