Aluko & Oyebode is pleased to announce the appointment of Olujoke Aliu as Co-Managing Partner of the Firm. Joke Aliu’s appointment is effective January 9th, 2023.
Reginald and Joke will jointly take responsibility for the firm’s overall management and guide its strategic direction.
Joke is an active member of the Firm’s dispute resolution as well as corporate and commercial practice teams. She has about 20 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, where she has represented several multinational and local companies, non-profit organisations, and individuals in complex and high-value arbitration and litigation proceedings, in local and regional courts. She was invited to the partnership in 2015 as the Firm’s first female litigation partner and managed the Firm’s regional office in Abuja.
She obtained her LL.B from the University of Ibadan in 2001, a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (now the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School) in 2009 and was called to the New York Bar in 2011. Joke was ranked by IFLR 1000 as an Expert Consultant and as a Next Generation Partner by Legal500 EMEA in 2022.
