DEC 2021 NEWS Aluko & Oyebode

We are pleased to announce the conferment of our Partner, Mark Mordi, FCIArb, with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Nigerian Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee. He was sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria at the Supreme Court, Abuja on 8 December 2021.

Mark joined Aluko & Oyebode in 1996 and he was elevated to Partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Arbitration practice in 2003. He heads the firm’s Maritime, Shipping and Aviation practice and advises on all aspects of Maritime, Shipping and Admiralty law. He also heads the Firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice, and he has advised on all aspects of these sectors.

He is a seasoned litigator who advises on Commercial Litigation and Arbitration, Maritime & Shipping, Oil and Gas, Admiralty, Construction, Aviation, Franchising, Debt Recovery Disputes, as well as general civil litigation matters both at the trial and appellate levels. Mark advises on all aspects of the Nigerian Litigation practice and procedure.

For close to three decades, Mark has carved a niche for himself in Maritime Enforcement matters, IP Litigation, as well as negotiating out of Court settlements in favour of his clients in these areas.
