TRADEMARK REGISTRY NEWS: Publication of Recent Journals
The Trademarks, Patents and Designs registry has escalated efforts to ensure that business owners and stakeholders alike have their needs met especially with respect to the publication of trademark application. The registry published Trademark Journals Vol.2 No. 1 on 24th November, 2017, Vol.3 No. 1 on 11th December 2017 and Vol. 4 No. 1 on 15th December 2017.
NAFDAC NEWS: Professor Moji Adeyeye appointed as the new Director-General of NAFDAC
Professor Moji Adeyeye has been appointed the new Director General at the National Agency of Food and Drug Administration and Control.
The newly appointed Director General is the founder of Drugs for AIDS and HIV patients, a non-profit organization committed to the prevention, education, care and treatment of children diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. She is also a professor of Pharmaceutics, Manufacturing Science and Drug Product Evaluation at Roosevelt University, Illinois, USA. She also serves as Chair of the Department of Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Roosevelt University, Schamburg, Illinois, USA.
Professor Adeyeye succeeds Acting Director General, Mr. Ademola Andrew Magbojuri, who was appointed following the retirement of Mrs. Yetunde Oni, who also served as acting Director-General for 18 months prior to her retirement.
The news of a newly appointed Director-General speaks well for the agency as well as for stakeholders, especially with Nigeria shifting its efforts towards enabling the ease of business practices in the country.
