The National Information Technology Development Agency (The ”NITDA”) is the Nigerian agency mandated under the National Information Technology Development Act (the “Act”) to create a framework for the regulation of Information Technology and all matters related thereto. To promote speedy resolution of disputes arising in the ICT sector, the NITDA, on the 22nd of July 2020, issued a draft Framework on Alternative Dispute Resolution for the Information Communications Technology (“ICT”) Sector (the “Draft Framework”).
The Draft Framework further seeks to ensure that parties can seek easy and low-cost dispute management and resolution for issues that arise from ICT disputes. The Draft Framework applies to all out-of-court dispute management of ICT disputes.
