The 14th Bankole Olumide Aluko (BOA) Football Tournament Closing Ceremony as was much expected, came to a successful end.
The closing ceremony as usual opened with the third-place playoff match as it was last year between Aluko & Oyebode and Tayo Oyetibo & Co/Bayo Osipitan & Co. The opposing team won the match by a goal to nil, after several defensive efforts from the Aluko & Oyebode team. The tournament ended with Falana & Falana winning this year’s tournament over a very competitive opponent, Olisa Agbakoba Legal.
Falana & Falana was presented with the Champions Trophy, while Olisa Agbakoba Legal was the 1st runner-up and Tayo Oyetibo & Co./Bayo Osipitan & Co. was the 2nd runner-up.
The evening rounded up with the raffle draw and the presentation of BOA Scholarship Awards to the Best Graduating Law Students for the 2014/2015 academic session in the following universities: University of Lagos (Betha Igbinosun); University of Nigeria (Ngozi Nwanta) and Ahmadu Bello University (Jafar Shuaibu).
